Happy Doctor's Day

||श्री||

1st July is celebrated as National Doctors Day in India since 1991 in the honor of the Legendary Physician and second Chief minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.

Doctor's day is a reminder to all of us to appreciate the doctors who put all their lives into offering services to others

This year, the day holds a special significance when COVID-19 or corona has invaded our

life with everything coming to halt, our doctors are not on Holiday. They are still working with

all their might selflessly on the pandemic war front. They are prioritizing their duty over their own health. As a responsible citizen, it is everyone’s duty to support and respect them.

The Doctors Day theme for this year stands- “Lessen the mortality of COVID-19”.

It includes awareness about asymptomatic hypoxia and early aggressive therapy.

Ayurveda texts mention qualities of Good Vaidya (Doctor) and Good Rugna (Patient) as-

“दक्ष तीर्थातो शास्त्रं दृष्टीकर्मा शुचिः भिषक |”

A good Doctor should be-

Alert

Have excellent medical knowledge

Must have extensive practical knowledge and experience

Should be clean, hygienic with purity of mind and body.

“स्मृति निर्देशकारित्वं अभिरुत्वं ज्ञापकत्वम रोगाणां |”

A good patient should be-

Having good memory to recollect all medical advice

Follow Doctors instructions

Fearless

aware of his disease

Doctor's are trying their best to cure us,Let's help them with by taking self precautions.

Need of an hour is to stay at home, maintaining social distance, personal and social hygiene along with boosting your Immunity.

Even if you follow this, a lot could be changed.

This will be a real Gift for your dearest Doctors.

Stay Healthy and away from Corona or any such illness
